Benefits of Chores
So far in the book, we learn that Zadie’s parents own a milk bar and she often helps her mother around in the mil bar. Every Saturday, Zadie minds the store for her mother and she also helps with the chores around the house like packing the lunch for her and her brother and preparing after school snacks. We asked the group - “Do you help around the house with the chores?” We also asked whether the group were aware of any benefits of doing chores apart from helping the family. This was a fun activity and we received interesting answers!
